Credits: This video was produced and edited by Eric Chiel, co-chair of the ONE-PS Communications Committee and member of the NUSA 2019 Organizing Committee. Video of the mayor was shot by Clark Dugger (ClarkDugger.com), a local architectural photographer and videographer, assisted by Teri Salpino and Sierra Johnson. Music was used with permission of its performer, Mike Costley (MikeCostley.com) — a popular local singer/songwriter/composer and aficionado of jazz, swing, and big-band vocals. The original version of this song was written, recorded, and performed by Slim Gaillard and Slam Stewart (Slim 'n' Slam) in 1942 and has been covered — usually with updated lyrics — by many others since then. It was always about Palm Springs.
