The first ONE-PS Picnic & Community Expo (formerly PSNIC Picnic) was held in 2008 when about 400 residents attended to enjoy a complimentary BBQ lunch and view a handful of booths. The picnic has been growing annually, and has become a favorite Annual City-wide Neighborhood Event. Each year it becomes the largest ever: over 1000 residents are expected to enjoy the BBQ lunch, DJ entertainment and more than 50 non-profit and for-profit booths. Participants range from the Desert Water Agency which provides the water to the Palm Springs Art Museum. The City of Palm Springs always has a great showing of the Palm Springs Police Department, Fire Department, Search and Rescue teams as well as the CERT Program. The neighborhoods get involved with booths and prizes to raffle off.
We celebrate the Palm Springs Neighborhoods and all the great things that make our City a special place to live, work and play. Everyone living within one of the Palm Springs’ 44 neighborhoods is invited.
