ONE-PS Picnic & Community Expo returns!

The first ONE-PS Picnic & Community Expo (formerly PSNIC Picnic) was held in 2008 when about 400 residents attended to enjoy a complimentary BBQ lunch and view a handful of booths.

The picnic has been growing annually, and has become a favorite Citywide Neighborhood Event. Each year it becomes the largest ever: over 1000 residents enjoy the BBQ lunch, DJ entertainment, Pooch Parade, and exhibits at more than 50 booths. Exhibitors range from the Desert Water Agency to the Palm Springs Art Museum. The City of Palm Springs always has a great showing with the Police Department, Fire Department, Search and Rescue teams, as well as the CERT Program. Neighborhoods get involved with booths and prizes.

The Picnic Committee co-chairs Joy Meredith Brown and April Gunkel are working on a safe format for the picnic. We will be spreading out the tables and booths utilizing more space at the park. Hand sanitizers will be on all picnic tables and hand washing stations set up as well. Masks will be highly recommended and we will follow the City rules that are in place at the time of the picnic.
